We’re thrilled to share the latest buzz from Jeffery Design Studio! This month, we’re spotlighting one of our many amazing projects: The Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge, a moody speakeasy in downtown Livermore. This unique space is not just a bar but an immersive experience that blends design and ambiance to create a truly memorable destination.

The Vision

The inspiration for The Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge began with our client’s idea of a honeycomb. This vision set the stage for a design that captures the essence of a beehive—warm, inviting, and filled with intricate details. Our goal was to create a space that felt both luxurious and intimate, perfect for a speakeasy.

Bringing the Vision to life

In creating The Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge, we carefully selected intriguing artwork to adorn the walls, adding an extra layer of depth and interest to the space. Each piece of art complements the honey and bee theme, with golden hues and intricate details that captivate the eye. To enhance the artwork and overall ambiance, we incorporated various types of lighting, including accent lights that highlight the art, warm chandeliers that provide a soft glow, and strategically placed sconces and candles that add to the moody, intimate atmosphere. These elements together create a visually stunning and cohesive environment.

To bring this vision to reality, we focused on a few key elements:

Chandeliers and Sconces:

We designed custom chandeliers and sconces that resemble honeycombs, casting a warm, golden glow throughout the space. These fixtures are not just sources of light but works of art that enhance the theme.

Rich, Deep Paint

The walls are adorned with rich, deep paint colors that add to the lounge’s moody and sophisticated vibe. These hues provide a perfect backdrop for the golden tones of the lighting and the natural wood elements in the space

Thoughtful Details:

Every detail in The Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge has been carefully considered to enhance the overall experience. From the texture of the fabrics to the design of the furniture, each element contributes to the lounge’s unique aesthetic.

The Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge is more than just a place to enjoy a drink; it’s a destination where every detail has been thoughtfully designed to transport you to a different world. Whether you’re stopping by for a signature cocktail or spending the evening with friends, the ambiance and design create an unforgettable experience. Now Open for private events. 

The Before

Its original state featured standard lighting and generic decor that did little to capture the imagination. However, the transformation has been nothing short of incredible.  The space now feels moody and full of personality, offering a truly memorable experience that stands in stark contrast to its previous, nondescript appearance.

The Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge was truly a passion project for both Tonya and Andrea. They poured their hearts into every detail, from the honey-inspired chandeliers to the moody lighting that gives the space its unique ambiance. Their dedication to bringing the client’s vision to life is evident in the rich, deep paint and carefully selected design elements. The result is a space that not only reflects their creativity and hard work but also exceeds their expectations, leaving them incredibly happy with the outcome.
